SOS Children’s Villages is a non-profit, non-governmental social organisation that is active in supporting children’s rights and is committed to providing children, who have been or are at risk of losing parental care, their primary need, namely a loving family and home.

In Indonesia, SOS Children’s Villages has been around since 1972. Mr. Agus Prawoto, a soldier who was serving in Austria, immediately fell in love with this parenting program, then founded the first village in Lembang, Bandung in 1972.

Currently, SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia is spread across 9 regions from Banda Aceh to Flores.
